I have more than 40 years of experience working with mentally ill patients. I am holding a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and Registered Psychotherapist with The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, Registration # 004493. I was originally trained overseas, and my education was evaluated by World Education Services (WES) and by The College of Psychologists of Ontario, and equivalents to Canadian Standards of MA and PhD Degrees.
I was employed with Correctional Services Canada in the Psychology and Mental Health Services Departments for 14 years. Currently, I enjoy working at Revival Rehabilitation Center and private practice.
Most of my practice is related to psychotherapy and counselling service for the general community in Ottawa and Kingston. Mainly the issues I deal with are depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), psychological injuries after MVA, stress, anger, pain management, personal growth, and cultural adjustment difficulties with teenagers, adults, and couples.
Interventions I am using are based on a cognitive behavioural theoretical framework, utilizing a variety of techniques, including evidence-based CBT for patients with Major Depressive Disorders, ERP for OCD and BDD, Interpersonal Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, EMDR for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Hypnosis, Mindfulness, Stress, Anxiety, and Anger Management Techniques, PRT (Pain Reprocessing Therapy for neuroplastic pain) with teenagers, adults, and couples.
